Diplexers save time and money by using one cable to carry your satellite and outside antenna or cable signal on the same coax into your satellite receiver and TV set. You can not use a splitter to do this because there is a voltage on the lnb coax line and a splitter will block the voltage and the system will not work. Chances are you already have a coax coming into your house carrying your present TV signal. With two diplexers you can use the existing coax cable to send your satellite LNB signal into your house. This really saves time and money on a new satellite installation.
Using diplexers and a receiver switch to operate 3 to 16 satellite receivers from one antenna with a dual LNB
